What is a Dermal Filler?
Dermal filler treatments are used to restore bulk to the curves of the face and smooth out wrinkles. The process involves using a very fine needle to inject a hyaluronic acid gel beneath the skin. Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of skin tissue which maintains local moisture content and is gradually reabsorbed over time.
For filler treatments it is injected in the form of a transparent viscoelastic gel. The treatment we provide uses hyaluronic acid which has been biosynthesised, (i.e. is not of animal origin.)
